As a manufacturer of data acquisition I/O modules, Advantech provides complete independent data acquisition modules that are widely used in many task level applications, such as facility monitoring, environmental monitoring, and industrial process control. Advantech's distributed remote I/O modules are divided into two series: Ethernet I/O (ADAM-6000 series) and RS-485 I/O (ADAM-4000 series), and are further divided into analog I/O and digital I/O modules, some of which support Modbus communication protocol.

The ADAM-4000/4100 series has strong RS-485 Modbus I/O and USB interfaces for easy configuration and diagnosis. It has a built-in encryption chip and is suitable for both OT and IT users. Advantech ADAM-5000 frequency modules and counter modules, such as the ADAM-5080 and ADAM-5081, can be remotely configured to up / down, bi-directional, counter, frequency, and alarm setting modes. ADAM-5080 is a 4-Channel Frequency/Counter Module and ADAM-5081 is a 4-Channel High Speed Frequency/Counter Module.
