Remote I/O module product features
As a manufacturer of data acquisition I/O modules, Advantech provides complete independent data acquisition modules that are widely used in many task level applications, such as facility monitoring, environmental monitoring, and industrial process control. Advantech's distributed remote I/O modules are divided into two series: Ethernet I/O (ADAM-6000 series) and RS-485 I/O (ADAM-4000 series), and are further divided into analog I/O and digital I/O modules, some of which support Modbus communication protocol.
The ADAM (Remote I/O Module) brand under Advantech Technology has been standing in the industry for 30 years since its establishment in 1992, with a focus on product quality and a commitment to craftsmanship.
Faced with diverse market changes, Advantech has successively launched different series of products to meet market demand. The ADAM-4000/4100 series has strong RS-485 Modbus I/O and USB interfaces for easy configuration and diagnosis. The ADAM-6000/6200 series is an intelligent Ethernet I/O module that meets the data collection needs and future applications of the Internet of Things, supporting SNMP, MQTT, RESTful API, web services, and Azure/AWS interfaces. The ADAM-6300 series is a new generation of OPC-UA encryption security protocol distributed remote I/O. It supports daisy chain connections, automatic bypass, and is equipped with high-density I/O. It has a built-in encryption chip and is suitable for both OT and IT users. The ADAM-5000 series is a modular I/O system suitable for basic and medium-sized system applications, offering RS-485/Ethernet I/O and KW/CoDeSys SoftLogic controller options.

EtherNet/IP Modules: ADAM-6100EI
The Advantech ADAM-6100 series is a new industrial Ethernet IO module that complies with the EtherNet/IP protocol. The series supports daisy chain connections, making it possible to transmit data faster in process control and other industrial automation applications. Chrysanthemum chain also provides a more scalable system, which helps improve scalability and anti-interference ability. Isolation design can also prevent module failures and help resist on-site interference.
Advantech's Ethernet I/O module ADAM-6000/6200 series can be easily integrated through the latest Internet technology, so that the equipment status can be monitored remotely more flexibly.
Point-to-point connection
Easy channel mapping from different I/O modules without the need for additional programming or controllers
Using point-to-point modules, only ADAM is needed NET utility configuration settings are sufficient
Graph Conditional Logic (GCL)
GCL features built-in ADAM-6000 and ADAM-6200 modules, making it convenient for users to set logical rules in any application
In ADAM In NET Utility, users can customize logical rules by graphically configuring the environment
No additional controller or programming required
Easy communication using multiple IoT protocols: MQTT, SNMP, RESTful, TLS
Cloud:
Support Azure IoT Hub
MQTT:
Proactively publish MQTT messages at user-defined intervals
Shorten downtime and alert event notifications
Use TLS (Transport Layer Security) to ensure privacy
Using ADAM Net Utility simplifies MQTT configuration
SNMP:
A simple method for monitoring I/O data on NMS (Network Management System)
Support SNMP v1/V2C protocol
SNMP trap for notifying alert events
Using ADAM MIB (Management Information Base) files to reduce implementation costs
